Most companies are subsidized to go to Vietnam in the field of manufacturing medical equipment. According to the announcement of Jetro, the subsidy amount ranges from 100 million to 5 billion yen, partially offset the costs needed to purchase and install machinery and equipment for production expansion.

This is part of the policy of the global supply chain diversification project announced by Japan since April. Japan is the second economy (after Taiwan) to have specific policies to promote the diversify global supply chains, minimize economic dependence on China.
